LGCI Student Aid Scholarships
At LGCI, we believe the greatest source of empowerment we can provide for our youths is through education. In Sierra Leone the literacy rate is less than 30 percent. Basic quality education, taken for granted elsewhere, is an unattainable privilege for many in Sierra Leone.
LGCI’s Student Aid Scholarship is our longest standing support. The earnings from this fund are primarily used to offer scholarship assistance to students and provide basic school supplies. Indeed, this fund represents LGCI’s best effort to keep kids in school in areas of Sierra Leone, West Africa. Gifts to this fund allow us to reach out to more students who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints. The more funds that are received in the future will be used for teachers/staff bonuses whose monthly salary is merely approximately 150,000 leones ($50).
Through your generous donations, you can make a difference in a child’s life. Ways you can contribute: -
Donation of schools supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks, crayons, any small school supplies)
Annual Scholarship
· $150 per student for one academic year tuition
· $75 per student for half a year tuition
